1.2. Our Unit Plan
We are going to analyse some of the elements included in our unit plan:
  • Objectives: related to Key Competences. WHAT, WHAT FOR, BY MEANS OF
  • Context & Final Product: the driving force of the unit
  • Key Competences present in the type of chosen Activities and the way we do them.

1. European Union:* Educational resources from the European Union Centers (EUCE).
  • The material bellow specially interesting for our Ss's age: [Students ages 8-15]. Stimulating website includes interactive games for learning about Europe. For example, "Let's explore Europe" allows one to simulate travel in time and space to discover Europe. Other games involve matching cards with the flags of EU member countries, or reconstructing pictures of European landscapes and monuments. A musical game plays national anthems and allows children to play and record their own 'anthem'.

1.4. The Scientific Method:
One of the issues in the Science curriculum is the Scientific Method. It has to be taken into account when we want to do experiments with our kids. But, what are the main steps of the scientific method?

1.5. Bloom's taxonomy: Thinking Skills
When dealing with our unit activities we will have to keep in mind what we learned about Bloom's Thinking Skills: try making the work challenging for your students proposing activities that help develop high order thinking skills. And remember that a higher skill will also include elements from the ones below it.
